Since the death of George Carlin, some people have likened to Mark Twain. Both spoke on similar themes in their humor and politics, language and human nature. Mark Twain is still cited today, almost a century after his death and we ask Mr. Carlin will be listed in a century from now?
Many of the most famous quotes by George Carlin have to do with language, puns and the British. This was something that was part of an apparenthis comic routine from the beginning. One of his favorite subjects was to point out, for example, does not make sense and do it in a fun way. Here's an example: "I went to a bookstore and asked the saleswoman," Where is the section of self-help "He said if she told me it would defeat the purpose."
Another common theme in his mood was to examine how people think and act to laugh. A cartoon can make a good comedy to watch something a little 'different, and many of Georgemade me look at myself and laugh. Here's an example: "Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?" Yes, this is what I do, but I never really thought about it until my attention.
E 'was also controversial quotes and routine. The most popular is the use of "obscene" words in the scene, and this eventually led to a court case. Supreme George Carlin was one of the fewComics of our time talking about religion and atheism. "Atheism is a non-prophet." "We have in our own image and likeness of God!" "If the churches want to play the game of politics, let them pay admission like everyone else."
Mark Twain and George Carlin had a lot in common. They lived in different times and have had different experiences. I certainly appreciated their thoughts and my guess is, many more will in the years to come.
